MY STORY

I was first introduced to Olympic Weightlifting while taking part in Crossfit. It didn’t take me long to discover that the lifting part of my training was something I really enjoyed.

At the end of 2019, I decided to take part in a few small local weightlifting competitions to see if it was something I wanted to peruse, and at the beginning of 2020 I decided to solely focus on training and competing in weightlifting to see how I could go within the sport.

In the gym, I am known for being a determined, tenacious, and passionate lifter, and these are the same qualities I bring to my coaching as well. As over a decade of working as an educator, the transition into coaching was natural. I love watching lifters progress and improve. It makes me extremely proud to see the lifters I coach accomplish things they never thought possible. In 2019, I achieved my British Weightlifting Level 1 and then in 2021, I achieved my British Weightlifting Level 2. I am currently an assistant coach at Woolwich Weightlifting.
